This product is a massive disappointment all the way around. From design, production, quality, QA, shipping and packaging, no instructions AND it was boxed up as a used product. I was sent someone else’s ugly cheap table with their meals and boogers all over it!Let’s get the “used” aspect out of the way first. I’m so peeved over this it’s all I can think about so if I cover it first, I will likely be able to be more concise on the actually product review. This item came boxed as a used product. On every part is dirt, stains, marks at the holes on the metal where it’s obvious it’s been put together. There are scratches, dings, dents, scrapes, fingerprints, paint missing in places from wear and yes, food! How do we know it’s food? Our two dogs can’t stop licking it and they are only licking areas where there is visible dried food on the parts!I’m going to need therapy over this purchase because I was so excited to get this for so many reasons. I waited longer than most Amazon deliveries for it too. Amazon really needs to monitor its 3rd party sellers. I didn’t get the memo Amazon sells yard sale items. Because that’s what this table looks like, something I would pay $5 for at a yard sale. Better yet, if someone else bought this garbage they would probably put it on the curb. That’s what my husband wants to do!!The box arrived with 10 days I can live with that. Inside the box there were parts and bolts/screws in a sandwhich baggie. Not a zip lock bag either. A flimsy sandwich baggie from the 70s/80s like the ones my mother made us put over our shoes with rubber bands when it rained. smh There were various shapes of styrofoam stuffed around the table pieces, as if it’s the way the previous owner sent it back. A screw driver was laying at the bottom the box loose - not wrapped on plastic or bubble wrap to protect the cheap table top, shelves and metal brace parts. There were no instructions. Not even assembly pictures to go by. Nothing! So I had to refer to the Amazon listing photos and wing it. It took two (2) hours to put this together. Look at the photo in the listing. Does this look like something that takes two hours to put together? I put a monster grill together from scratch with 11 pages of instructions tonight and it took 48 minutes. The only upside to this box of parts is all the parts were in the box.This table is cheaply made. The design is what I wanted. But for what I paid for it, I expected much better quality. The metal framework below the table is subpar. It’s not steel for better stability and weight bearing. It’s a thinner metal. You can tell no QA process is in place at the production facility. The metal cuts are either hand made with hand tools or the machines are ancient. The ends are rough, sharp edges, badly cut and the square tubing is out of square and warped looking. There are no end caps to the metal tubes creating a finished look. And one part that is machine finished has sealed something rattling around inside it. Probably metal slag from the rough metal cuts. The paint looks thin in spots and thick, drippy in other areas. There are painted dimples and zits, too. The holes for the bolts and screws are not machined well so that when attaching a bolt, you literally need to crank it to tighten it. The shelves and table top are made of pressboard. Not wood. Not sturdy plastic, not even Formica or wrapped pressboard like Walmart 45 minute assembled boxed furniture. In fact, Walmart boxed furnishings are a step up compared to this.The screws are wood screws. The bolts have immovable nuts directly below the bolt head. That makes it next to impossible to secure the parts together without having your own tools. You cannot use the cheap made wrench in the box (looks like the wooden spoon from the ice cream truck). We had to get the small wrench set out and our own ratchet screwdriver because of the poorly made holes. The screwdriver included on the box lost its head after 5 bolts/screws and a few were screws were stripped because of the included screw driver. Husband had to get different bolts and screws to replace what was included.When put together, the table is out of square. Badly. One area on the metal framework won’t take a bolt because the machined bolt/screw holes don’t line up. It’s not level either and there is not much that can be done to level it.The wheels are too small making the movability of the table wobbly. With weight, wobbly, thin metal structure and pressboard, it won’t be long before this thing collapses. The wheels should have been wider than the metal framework to provide stability and move weight without tipping. Something like this will be used by kids, elderly, bed bound, crafters, perhaps a desk …. This is not supposed be a corner decorative table. This item is supposed to be utilized. Based on how it’s made, it won’t be long before another is needed. Maybe 3/4 months?But it came used with food on it!I questioned myself when I didn’t box it up and send it back the next day when I saw the food. I guess since I was already going to leave a (1) star review over it being used, may as well let other potential buyers what to expect if they buy this table. You’re better off going to yard-sales this weekend and find a real table!passableOverall its a great laptop tray, works really well on couch or bed, nice to look at, not too heavy, fairly adjustable, but I was hoping it would angle a little higher so it could be used while lying down. I extend it to the full leg and table extensions, and then bend my knees and tip it forward, so it works, but I have to balance it on two legs. Its better than balancing the laptop on its own.I would like it to be a few inches longer so a tablet coud fit more fully on it. I am using it and am happy I purchased it.Wanted a bed tray to double for eating and working on the laptop. Wish it was wider and the drawer could hold more. Wood is not finished so I’ve already stabbed my self twice and I just set it up. Adjustable legs are nice but tedious since legs won’t fold flat if you have them extended. I’m glad the bottom stopper to hold electronics is detachable however the holes don’t match with the pegs so mine didn’t fit. Biggest thing for me is the unfinished wood and all the splinters sticking out. Definitely not a $30 product. Needs more attention to be marketed at that price.Pretty good overall from a first look. The only downside to this product is the way you "set" the height of the table itself through the legs. You tighten through a knob that your turn but it seems that if you turn too hard it might break. You can also tell its sort of "cheap" when just feeling the knob. Other than that, everything else is pretty solid.The only thing I don’t like is that the wood is splintered. I got my first splinter last night. It’s super annoying. Like why not make the wood smooth?!?! I also wish the table were a bit longer to enable more leg room.Other than that, this desk would be perfect.Beside/sofaside laptop. Perfect for my needs. But no instructions w/it which wouldn't have been bad except for the way it was packed. The shelves were jammed into the sides, making it seem like that was where they belonged. It made no sense to me and took me forever before I figured out that they were just stuck in there. Packing them differently or instructions would have made a huge difference. Once I figured it out it was easy to assemble.
