This is the third Electric Standing Desk I have in my home and Studio, and while this desk is functional, it falls on the lower end of the three when compared to the quality of the others I own.Once fully assembled (Painful), it functions as designed and very quiet during height adjustments electrically. It is a standard desk width and length at 47" x 24". with the top being made from three connecting all-black panels.The operation of the height is by a control panel connected to the underside of either right or left front corners of the desk. It has three adjustable, automatic height setting buttons, while my other two desks have four. Not a big deal, but mentionable.After final assembly, the desk is strong and secure on robust legs that incorporate the height adjustment motors.The positives:? Unlike most other electric height adjustment desks, this one had a separate motor in EACH leg controlled by a single power input box.? Super-quiet operation when adjusting the height with intuitive and easy control panel.? Height indication is provided by an LED and can be set for Inches or Centimeters.? Feels very robust and secure, even at full height extension.? Comes with a rolled-up soft 31" x 16" soft desk mat that is important for the reasons indicated below.? Large round screwed-in feet allow for leveling adjustment and work equally well on carpets or hard floors.Neutral features and minor issues:? Unlike most other desks of the type, this one only has one mountable side hangar (For headphones or other needs) and does NOT have any underside attachment to mount the power brick connected to the control box which IS attached to the underside of the desk. I solve this my securing the power brick to the closest leg with strong zip ties to keep it secure. There is no other mounted storage baskets or similar included with this desk.? The three panels for the surface of the desk, when connected to each other, are not perfectly level with each other at the connection seam. That leave a small difference in height on the seams of each panel connected. This can result in an issue if writing on a paper sheet directly on the desk surface if the sheet is placed over one of the seams. This is mitigated by the inclusion of the good-sized desk pad the eclipses the seams on both sides and works well with mice as well. I believe this to be made of faux leather.Finally, the negative:❌ The manual with the assembly instructions are almost entirely unusable. Super-small print with undecipherable tiny illustrations of parts and pieces. The instructions are confusing and not well-written for clarity and ease of assembly. Putting this desk together will require some clear, logical thinking on the part of the buyer. It DOES come together in the end, once figured out, but the manufacturer has not made this an easy and clear process.Overall, and all things considered, I am generally happy with this height-adjustable desk. Once the aggravation of assembly is over, the desk is very functional and should meet the needs of anyone wanting an electrically adjusted, standard sized desk for home or office. As such, I feel comfortable with a FOUR STAR rating for the desk. Providing MUCH better assembly instructions, more understorage, and slightly better panel connections would take this to five stars. Furthermore, I find this desk somewhat overpriced when compared to other electrically operated standing desks on Amazon. It responds quickly to control-pad input and produces zero wobble even at tall heights. The desk can easily accommodate people of the average female and average male seated and standing heights, and it can also support someone who is much taller in sitting and standing modes. The desk features a large work surface that provides ample space for various monitor or laptop setups, in addition to room for ongoing projects and office supplies. It uses an electric motor so that you can easily adjust the height according to your needs. The motor lift mechanism offers smooth height adjustments from 27-inches to 48-inches at the speed of one inch per second. It moves quietly and efficiently.The desk features an industrial-grade steel frame and an extremely solid desktop that can hold up to 180-pounds of weight. It's designed for working from home and allowing independent and remote workers to stay active, healthy, and productive while they work remotely. The actual workspace is made of 3 separate wood pieces that do have a visible groove at the points that they connect. This is easily fixed by using the included large desk mat (that also works as a mouse pad) but you can also always get a larger one if you need more real estate while working. Now here is my issue with this desk. The desk was relatively easy for me to assemble, I assemble stuff all the time so I somewhat breezed through this process. Now, for someone who isn't mechanically inclined installation of this desk using the included instructions is going to be A HEADACHE! The included instructions are some of the worst that I have ever come across. By the time I had figured out that it mixes like 2 different desk models in the same instructions I had already figured it out. The print is unreasonably small and light. You can barely see it. I had to shine a flashlight on the instructions to read them at first! I do not understand why this company would put that instruction manual in there like that but that is a terrible mistake. But once you figure it out it is really easy compare to some other standing desks. You can put it all together using just a Philips Screwdriver and the included Hex tool or you can use a drill. Once you get past the installation you will have yourself an affordable and premium well built standing desk. I love this desk and it has really improved my working habits. Great buy.This desk works great to get the perfect balance between computer monitor ,chair height and key board location. It raises and lowers with no straining what so ever and I have 2 I Mac computers on it which is a good amount of weight. Unfortunately mine arrived with the corned of the table dinged up. I am not about to box it up to ship back so I will just have to live with it. If it wasn't damaged it would easily be 5 Stars 3 STARS
