First, the reason I took off one star is because this product is advertised as coming with castors, but acquiring the castors was an extra step. You had to request them via email (instructions are provided in the box) in order to get them and I found that process to be a bit sketchy and misleading. I did request and receive them, but why not just send them in the first place? It's annoying to have to add the castors after you've already assembled the desk. I think most people would like to put all their stuff on it and start using it right away. I would have preferred to know before opening everything up that I would need to wait a few days to receive all the parts. If you're using a monitor mount like I do, receiving the castors a few days later is annoying because you have to take off the mount in order to turn the desk over and add the castors. That said, I only knocked off one star because I still think the DESK is nice for the price and not everyone will require castors. Now for the rest of my review:I found this desk to be a great product at this price point. I've been using the 55x28 model for about two months and it's sturdy enough for my needs. I attached a mount for my laptop and additional monitor on the back and the motor seems to handle the extra weight just fine. I like that the desk isn't so bulky, lightweight enough that moving it around isn't cumbersome, but not so light that it moves when you don't want it to. I found the height memory easy to program. I find the contrasting color panel in the middle where the keyboard would typically sit to be an odd aesthetic choice, but it doesn't bother me that much. The assembly took me about an hour. I enjoy assembling box furniture so I have no complaints about that. If you're not a fan of product assembly, you might not like that aspect of this product. There are several steps and you need to pay careful attention.Desk was easy to assemble by myself until I got to the rod that goes from the motor to the other desk leg (but that was because I didn’t follow instructions). Once that was corrected the desk was easy to complete. Motor seems to be working fine with no issues so far. There is a slight gap between the planks that make up the desktop but it isn’t noticeable for my setup. Slight wobble, but only if I try to shake the desk. It feels sturdy otherwise. I added a pretty heavy keyboard tray and it hasn’t compromised the integrity of the desk in any way. Overall, the one star reviews seem to be cases of simple defect which is to be expected with mass production. I’m pretty happy with my purchase and think it’s an affordable option for anyone looking for a motorized standing desk.First the likes. The desk seems very well designed and built. Assembly was somewhat involved, but reasonably straightforward and everything fit well together. I had some problems, but the support was responsive.Now for the reasons I am only giving it 4 stars. The biggest issue was after I assembled it the desk wouldn't move more then about 6 inches without stopping and the display indicated Hot, then i had to wait for the error to clear before I could move it again. Nothing was actually hot. I contacted the seller and they sent me a new controller which fixed it. It's good the support was responsive and they were able to resolve the issue, but it's clearly a known issue and they should do a better job of testing. Amazon was willing to send me a new table, but being the size and weight and assembly that seemed silly.My next minor issue is the box doesn't include the wheels. They get shipped separately and you have to ASK for them. It's been a week and the wheels are still in transit. You shouldn't have to ask for the included wheels, and they should come faster.My last comment involves the top. I was expecting the top to be one piece, which would require it to be shipped separately. The top is actually 2 pieces and it all came in one rather heavy box. Not a huge deal and it makes sense, but would have preferred a one piece top.Assembly took some time but was definitely worth it. I needed to move my office out of the dinning room but wanted to still be on the 2nd floor of my townhome. I loved the fact that they had different sizes to choose from and the 48x24 was the perfect size for my needs. Accessories that you may want to add -- dual monitor desk mount and under desk cable management tray. I do have one thing that bothered me with this purchase. All the pictures and the description of this desk said that it included lockable castors (that was the other reason I purchased this desk), however, they do not come with desk. You have to separately contact the seller via email to send them to you. You are not charged extra, however, I was disappointed that the castors were not with the desk to start with.I have back issues and I put this together by myself (woman, age 55) in about an hour. The instructions were easy to follow. The quality is solid, and I was pleased with how smoothly and quietly the desk goes up and down. it also easily accommodates all 3 of my screens, plus my phone and tablet (so that's 5 total). I was impressed with the seller, who contacted me via Amazon to tell me that the wheels would be shipped separately. I'd seen some negative reviews about this desk because of the missing wheels, so it's nice to see a seller being active and getting ahead of complaints. They've also followed up to make sure I like the desk. I'm not used to such customer service! Very happy with this purchase.The tabletop comes in pieces, which I understand and was expecting. I was not expecting every piece to have sharp square edges where laminates are glued together over the particle board. I was hoping the front face would be in some way rounded or blunted. Resting my arms on this table for multiple hours is like dragging heavy scissors across them - not dangerous, just really uncomfortable. It's pretty sturdy at its base height, which I would certainly hope for, and pretty wobbly at its full height, which is expected for a standing desk with two legs. All in all, a good budget buy. I may have to replace the tabletop with a bamboo one from IKEA down the road, but that's $100 upgrading a desk I didn't pay much for in the first place.
