Comfort:Lighter weight, softer breathable cushions provide significantly longer wear times. i find myself reaching for these during long usage sessions.Sound Quality:I find that the sound profile is noticably less dynamic and less detailed than my Audio Technica M50's as should be expected. That is not to say that these are flat or unresponsive, these are clearly designed for .... Neutral extended use. I do not get ear fatigue with them so readily as I do other earphones. fairly flat, and not bass heavy... perhaps bass light at times. Since these are for gaming I thought explosions were in order. Telarks Version of Tchakivskys 18th overature as my refrence, I was pleased. These headphones did not distort when listen at full volume on a Note 3 or a PC sound card. The lack of dynamic range was only moderately evident in this listening scenario. When listening to other more musical sources, I frequently found myself looking for more warmth as these sounded a bit sterile compared to a dedicated set of studio grade headphones.I doubt very many video game players will object to the sound quality. While gaming, I found the sound profile to be quite adequate. There is sufficient detail to clearly make out directional information, voice chat from other players was particularly good with these.Given their intended use, I would declare the audio performance adequate. The sound profile seems to be geared towards clear dialog over musical performance which seems quite fitting.Microphone: Yea they heard me. No issues. I thought it was busted at first, but as it turns out, i was talking into the noise cancelling part and not the microphone so it was really muted. I think that is to say the noise cancellation works great, but does subject the user to potential failure if he/she is unaware.Build quality:Simple, and durable. I'm fairly confident that these would hold up to the sit on test, but Im not going to try :) The parts snap apart and easily back together when stressed. A rather elegant design IMO. Not quite flimsy, and not brittle. Great for careless kids.Notes:As a parent I like these better for my kids ears as they arent excessively too loud and are durable. I think plantronics has hit the sweet spot with these. The only issue is the headset is not adjustable. They fit fine for me. But I’m sure other people may have issues. I mean they are slightly adjustable, but not like a normal set of headphones so fit definitely could be an issue. But the sound quality is top notch! And for the price I am much happier than an over priced Turtle Beach pair any day.I've owned this headset for almost 2 months and I also own the Astro A40 and mix amp. I gotta say, if it wasn't for the fact that the Rig 400 does work with the Astro mix amp, I probably wouldn't use them. I'm not a fan of wireless headsets so I try and stick with the best wired headsets. Although, this product isn't terrible. They are very light weight and comfortable on the top of your head. The ear cups are a little small and over time they hurt my ears. I wanted to give this headset 3 stars but I felt I'd be lying. I actually do like this headset because it's so light weight and the sound without the Astro mix amp is still better than any Turtle Beach headset in my opinion. They are also very durable. I'm not as afraid to drop them as I am my Astros. Not a bad deal for 50 bucks. They are awesomeGreat price for such great qualityWorked great til my ex came to get her stuff and absolutely smashed emGood product. I got mine in the mail a few days ago and they so far have worked really well. I ordered a pair of black Xbox One specific headphones. What I received was a pair of black and grey Camo Xbox One specific headphones. So the colorway was slightly wrong. Which didn't bother my but it might upset someone else. Sound quality is fairly good. Especially for the price of the headphones. The mic is very sensitive up close and does a good job of noise cancelling. Overall, it seems a good pair of headphones and well worth the money. This is an awesome headset. It is light weight, super comfy, and can be adjusted to fit most everyone. I love the detachable mic so if i'm not in-game chatting i can remove it. The sound is decent and for the price i would think this is hard to beat! I use it with my Xbox 1 and find the cord easy to manage. I went from a wireless set up to this and am pretty happy. The in-line controls make it easy to adjust the sound and mute the mic. If you're on the fence i say pull the trigger. ESPECIALLY if you can snag a refurb deal from under 25 bucks.Swift delivery and the sound quality is awesome for the price. I also owned the rig 500hx which were also amazing when it came to sound quality and build. Crystal clear Surround sound.
